Paul is currently Executive Director of the Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health (formed February, 1983).  He worked for five years with the Michigan Hospital Association as Coordinator of Legislative Affairs, which included, among other activities, maintaining legislative contacts, running the Political Action Committee, grass roots organization and Trustee Development.  Prior to the MHA, Paul worked as Director of Policy Development and Evaluation with the Michigan Department of Public Health in setting up the medical evaluation system of Medicaid.  In the past, he has worked as Senior Social Worker for Flint Public Housing; setting up three child care/Head Start centers; worked in Model Cities and Office of Economic Opportunity programs; taught college; and been a Peace Corps volunteer.

Michele has coordinated grassroots advocacy campaigns, publications,
and events for over 20 years.  As our Director of Community Outreach, she provides education, training, and technical assistance to a wide range of community- based and advocacy organizations regarding grassroots mobilization and advocacy. 

She also is the coordinator of Families Voting and consultant to a variety of child and family advocacy organizations.  She formerly was the co-editor and publisher of the e-magazine JumpStart Michigan.  She has served on the board of directors of the Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children, and chaired the Michigan Coalition for Children and Families and Michigan's Month of the Young Child celebration.
